I haven't updated in a long time. I really need to learn to keep up on this type of crap LOL.

I haven't really made anything new. A few hats for friends, but that's about it. And I just need to add a drawsring to the back pack I made for my sister.

I have started sewing prefold diapers. They actually have UNBLEACHED diaper flannel at walmart. Knock me over with a feather. I bought a yard of it and a yard of purple flannel to make 4 more diapers. If I like the fabric I will go back for more. It was about 2.50 a yard.

I have been watercoloring lately. I have finished two of my first "real" paintings. I am not brave enough to post pics of them though LOL. I am going to go buy more paint supplies this week. I don't have enough paint LOL.

If I ever became a wealthy woman, I would shop for craft stuff EVERY DAY! I really mean it too LOL.

My newest project

Yes I started another project before finishing the bag completely, shaddup :P. I only have to make and sew on pockets and weave in all the ends. Other than that the bag is done. It is a little samller than I like, but it will do.

My newest project is caps and blankets for premature babies. When my daughter was born she had a hole in her lung. They didn't discover it until the day after she was born, when she went into respiratory distress. She was rushed to the NICU at the local children's hospital. They discovered the pneumothorax there. She was on a ventillator for several days and had a chest tube in. If it weren't for the NICU doctors and nurses, my daugheter would not be here. So I am making several sets of these to take down there :)

A new project

I have started a new project. And I am being a bit daring. I am taking elements from 2 different patterns, plus some ideas of my own, and making a backpack/diaperbag. It is gonna be a tubular bag with backpack straps. And pockets along the outside for sippies. And pockets on the inside for mom's stuff and a place to hang the keys.

Or I might make a smaller bag to match that will fit inside the diaper bag, for mom's stuff.

If it turns out well I can make one for the auction!

I am making a hat for myself. Mosly just to learn to read a pattern better. I have the gauge right and everything but it is going to be WAAAAAAY too big LOL.

So I guess I will go down a couple of hook sizes and see if I can't make a hat that will fit.

And I found this ADORABLE dress pattern that I would love to make for Anastasia one day. I will have to dig out the link later. If I go find it now I will be way too tempted to go buy the yarn and try it right now. THAT would be a disaster LOL.

I used a different sized hook so it looks a little different. But I am so proud of myself. I found that pattern and it didn't look like it was written in greek LOL. So I tried it out. Now I can actually READ the patterns LOL.

I am gonna make a few more for my living room. I might make a set of them for the next sybermoms auction. We shall see.

It is Sugar n' Cream cotton yarn. I don't know the name of the color because I lost the damn wrapper. And I have lost some of my memory since having my daughter. Who knew they took out brain cells when they do a c-section? LOL

I hate weaving in all of the ends.

I am working on a dishrag/hotpad (whichever I decide by the time it is completed LOL). Somehow I ended up skipping one too many stitches on the first row, and then adding it at the end WTF?? So the first row is lopsided LOL. I can turn that into a handle to hang a hotpad though LOL.

I have a LOOOOONG way to go before I am good at this LOL.

And I also wanted to say that I have various other crafts that I try to spend time on. I watercolor, make paper, scrapbook, and cross stitch. I have also piddled around with making doll clothes (only one has come out okay LOL.) I will probably share some of my other craft shit on here too.

I just started crocheting again. I only knew very basic stitches. My aunt taught me a ton of stuff these past couple of weeks. And I got a good book. I'll have to get the name later, it escapes me right now.

I learned while on a road trip to Missouri. I crocheted the whole drive back LOL. I have made a few thing so far. Pictures will eventually come :)
